ABOUT KECI : Keci has been singing since the age of 8, Being raised in a family full of boys Keci hung out with her mother who volunteered her time with senior citizens. She enjoyed days at the center keeping the tenants entertained by singing and acting out funny skits. It was there that she found her passion. Keci then went on writing songs and plays for different local church events. Her talent was noticed by a church member who was in charge of filming morning announcements he decided to bring her on board for new ideas. Keci felt like a good laugh before the speaker would get the members minds off their problems and more open to listen. Amazement widened the eyes of the staff woundering how she mixed church announcements with funny characters and skits leaving the audiance anxious to see what she would come up with next. Keci acted out all the characters she created; at that moment she became interested in film. Keci then went on to write, direct, and act in one of her short films GANSTA a film that was targeted towards the young teens showing them where life in the fast lane would take them. The short film aired for months on Jacksonville, Florida local comcast station and was sent to different youth groups around the world. Keci's love for music never left, Keci was also a member of the NC RYDERZ a positive hip-hop group. She found herself among the guys. This was something that she was use to. Being the only girl in the group, Keci had to work hard to gain her respect. She didn't want to sit pretty, she wanted her lyrics and sounds to be an inspiration for women of all ages. Eventually the group signed on with GOD LYFE RECORDS, a record label which was signed up under her oldest brother's organization CHRIST-LIKE FLAVA. The NC RYDERZ had the pleasure of touring and performing in different cities, venues, and inner city communities. Keci thought everything was perfect; the group had been working hard in the studio with their first album. Keci never thought the group she was apart of for four years would crumble in front of her eyes. This became a very discouraging time in her life; remembering the words of her mother "All things would work together for her good". She began to pull strength from her inner self believing one day her dreams would come true. Keci's new beginning as a solo artist had her back on the scene with more determination, drive, and focus. With fresh ideas she was able to produce her first music video called "OOH BABY" filmed in downtown Jacksonville and the Orlando area. She also started her own company called KECI ENTERTAINMENT INC. between writing, recording and performing her single "CRUSH" she began writing a pilot for kids show called KECI's SPOT a show about kids with different talents that come together at a community center and learn how to get along and work together by creating ways to solve problems.
